Year of the Affiliate by Sean Rasmussen presents a unique method for getting traffic to blogs. After I got my copy I noticed some of the online methods I was using already in my blog marketing. My methods were working too. So yes this online blog method works.

Year of the Affiliate is a guide for people who want to venture into the world of online marketing.It works nicely with blogs. It is easy to read and follow. But you don't have to be a beginner, although It is suitable for beginners. I have around 12 months internet marketing experience under my belt. In my opinion I would say this ebook would suit someone with from zero to twelve months, and in between, online experience.

Sean Rasmussen has paced the ebook nicely. It starts off at an easy tempo so beginners can follow and allows them to cut their teeth in online marketing.

Beginning chapters include how to start as an affiliate , where to find products online, and how to find a niche market. Sean then explains how to get visitor traffic. He lists quite a few methods, some I of them I already use, and picked up some good tips on increasing traffic.

Blogs and websites are covered nicely. There is plenty of meat here. I found the information on this section informative and useful.

My favorite section is on Social Media. Social media is a great way to drive traffic to a blog. Sean shows you how to use it as a traffic generation tool. Year of the Affiliate has a lot to say about MySpace, FaceBook, Blog Catalog, Digg, Stumble Upon, to name a few. Find out how to build a professional profile online that visitors find attractive. As I said I like this section on social media best. I got much useful content from this part of the ebook. In my opinion the price of the ebook is worth it just for what you get in the social media section.

I have one criticism about the ebook on Article Directories. Sean only mentions two of them while I believe a good online marketer should use six or seven article directories with links pointing back to a Blog. Other than that I couldn't find anymore faults.
