To become a video game tester means you can do what millions of other hard working people around the world don’t get to do – and that’s being able to do a job you love doing! If a video games company advertises a game tester job that you feel is suitable for you, then you should still apply for it, despite the qualifications criteria. In the first instance you have nothing to lose by applying. Secondly, if you’ve written the most compelling resume you possibly can, then you there’s every chance your application will be seen by someone within the company (probably the HR department) and actually processed as a potential employee and asked along for an interview. To become a video game tester you have to be pro-active and go out there and put yourself forward. This demonstrates to your potential employer that you at least have determination and initiative which go along way in ANY employers estimation. Remember, this is a dream job your searching for, that could easily lead to bigger and better things within the games industry.
