   Audio slideshow: Deep space X-rays

The biggest scientific satellite ever built in Europe, the XMM-Newton observatory has been orbiting Earth for a decade - with its mirrors capturing X-ray images from across the Universe.

See what the telescope has seen in its first 10 years - with X-ray astronomer, Dr Kathy Romer - and her University of Sussex colleague, Dr Darren Baskill, who has helped to calibrate the delicate machinery.
